SURAL, C.A., incorporated in 1975, is one of the largest aluminum wire-rod producers in the world, manufacturing wire intended for both electrical use as well as mechanical and welding applications. The line of products manufactured by SURAL, C.A. include:
- ALUMINUM WIRE ROD. Electrical grade 1350 manufactured with 6101, 6201 aluminum alloys. Both under ASTM B233 - B398 norms. Available in diameters from 9.5 mm (0.375 in.) up to 25.4 mm (1.0 in.)
- ALUMINUM ALLOY WIRE AND WIRE ROD. For mechanical applications. These products meet or exceed ASTM B-211, B-316, B-221 specifications. Different gauges available. Output Capacity: 120,000 MT/year. Minimum Order: 20 MT. Packaging: Spools (Weight varies depending on gauge). Wire rod: 2, 000 Kg.
- ALL ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR (AAC). Manufactured under ASTM B-231, B-400 specifications. Bare electrical conductors for overhead transmision lines. Conductors meet all international standards (BS, DIN, IEC, CSA).
- STEEL REINFORCED ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR (ACSR). Manufactured under ASTM B-232 norms. Minimum Order: 5 MT per gauge. Packaging: Non-returnable wooden spools.
- ALL ALUMINUM ALLOY CONDUCTOR (AAAC). Manufactured under ASTM B-398 and B-399 specifications. Used as bare overhead conductor for primary and secondary distribution.Minimum Order: 5 MT per gauge. Packaging: Non-returnable wooden spools.
- ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR ALLOY REINFORCED (ACAR). Manufactured under ASTM B-524 norms. Minimum Order: 5 MT by gauge. Packaging: Non-returnable wooden spools.
